To the northwest it borders Albania, to the north - with the former Yugoslavia and Bulgaria, to the east - with Turkey. Greece is washed by 3 seas: to the west - the Ionian Sea, to the east - the Aegean Sea, to the south - the Mediterranean Sea. Even though statistically it is a small country, it is huge due to its regional and architectural diversity. Greece is an open-air museum. Greece offers us unique landscapes, exceptional historical monuments, journeys from rocky beaches to the mountains, time travel, from the present to the past and back, towering mountain ranges, wine valleys, vast olive groves stretching to the south, forests rich in the north. Greece is a subtropical-Mediterranean climate zone. Tourists can rest in Greece throughout the year regardless of the season or health. The most requested and visited areas are: Dodecanese, Crete, Cyclades and the Greek islands, and to a lesser extent: Peloponnese and Halkidiki peninsula. The architecture varies greatly from region to region depending on local history. Visitors will find neoclassical architecture in the cities of Ermoupolis and Nafplio. Ottoman influence in buildings and Grevena Kozani, in white female houses in the Cyclades, in houses on the island of Paros, in Baroque houses and churches on Corfu.
